The following books I have found valuable in my search for truth. And while I wouldn’t endorse the viewpoints of the secular books, I find it highly advisable as Christians we understand the counter arguments to our faith, especially as objective truth seekers. While very articulate and attractive, the informed Christian will be able to see how these secular authors have built straw men for defense of their cases. Arguments from these secular writers have led many astray and without hope. Once the straw man is exposed in these books a Christian can then stand firm in the truth of their position and be able to articulately defend the reason for the hope that is within them (1 Pet 3:15).
